My new little love bug!
Today is the day!!!!
When I lost my very, very special Abby last year, I knew I would have to get another adorable Yorkie, when I was ready. I entered the crazy world of searching for a well-bred Yorkie in February. I had a lot to learn. Around March there were liters all around the states, but I didn’t want to go too far to find my girl. Silly me. I eventually made it onto several waitlists, some of which were a plane ride away.
Fast forward to last week. I got to spend a couple of days helping my son pack and load his uHaul for his move to New York. On Wednesday I gave him one last hug and walked to my car. As the tears were welling up, my first thought was “I have to find my puppy.” I drove home, sad, but happy that he is chasing his dream. For the next few days, my focus was on getting that text from him, that he had made it to the next stopping place, safely. Phew.
On Saturday, I went to see my daughter for a haircut. Just as she finished I got a text. I saw it on my watch, otherwise, I may not have noticed it for a while.
There was a puppy waiting for me!!! I got to pick from 2 little girls. OMG. I was jumping with excitement. It was awesome that I was with my daughter when I received this news and for the text conversation that followed. Before I headed home I had picked my new little girl. My daughter immediately embarked on the name search. She doesn’t like my choice, Peak-a-boo, Boo for short. Unless someone comes up with a much better name, she’s my Boo.
So many details to take care of now, but I’ve already booked my flight and hotel. So now it’s really a matter of waiting almost 3 weeks. So for now, all we can do is see these adorable pictures of my Boo.
Boo’s mama – Jazzy Boo’s daddy – Pride
All cuddled up after a 🛁 Cuddle me. Just adorable.
