I started with an old bed frame that my neighbors were going to throw away.

It had been sitting outside for at least a year, in the snow and rain. Some of the wood was badly split.

I cut it into pieces.

And put it back together. Then I did a lot of sanding and patching and sanding.

Added some paint.

Then I added more paint and did more sanding and distressing. I love how the wonderful colors come through here and there.

Then I need a soft cushion to sit on and some pillows to fluff.

You might notice that the paint matches the house.
