Sewing projects for Boo

Sewing projects for Boo

I needed to sew a few new things in preparation for getting my Boo. Puppy Apron What puppy wouldn’t love a puppy apron? And it frees up my hands. Will I eventually need a two-pocket puppy apron? Hmmm… Doggy Bag When I bring Boo home her carrier will be my carry-on on the plane. I’m only going overnight, but I still need a few things that won’t quite fit in a purse. So I made a small bag, or maybe…

My new little love bug!

My new little love bug!

Today is the day!!!! When I lost my very, very special Abby last year, I knew I would have to get another adorable Yorkie, when I was ready. I entered the crazy world of searching for a well-bred Yorkie in February. I had a lot to learn. Around March there were liters all around the states, but I didn’t want to go too far to find my girl. Silly me. I eventually made it onto several waitlists, some of which…

Recipes

Recipes

I’ve found several new recipes for paper mache, concrete, and plaster. I’m sure there will be more. Paper Mache Paste – A slight twist on just flour and water. I had some fabric scraps laying around from a curtain I made her a few years ago so it was a no-brainer to use those to make her Papa Doc Bunny. Of course, with this outfit, he had to…

Needle Felting

Needle Felting

Sculpting with wool and a needle. My first needle felted animal. I like this new craft, but I do need to learn to keep my fingers away from those really sharp needles.

The Bunnies Have Multiplied, Oh My

The Bunnies Have Multiplied, Oh My

After the horses I though it was time for bunnies, as Easter was just around the corner. Every new animal has unique features. For the bunnies, it’s their big floppy ears. I love using many media in my work. These guys weren’t just sewing. I knitted mama’s hat and crocheted her basket. I used needle felting for all of their noses. There’s a little beading in there too (earrings).
